The Flagler County Democratic party is committed to building a pipeline of qualified candidates to run for local elected office.

Introducing the “Flagler County Democrats’ Candidate Program” – a Q&A session and a series of workshops aimed at answering your questions about running for elected office. All registered Flagler County Democrats are welcome!

Q&A sessions and workshop days and times are intended to accommodate a variety of schedules. All Q&A sessions and workshops will be held at the Flagler County Democrats’ Headquarters:

RUN FOR OFFICE!  Q&A

The “Run for Office” Q&A is for those who might consider running for local office, whether in the short-term or sometime down the road. It is appropriate for those curious about being a candidate for a local municipality, the City of Palm Coast, the County Commission, or the County School Board.  

  • You do not need to pre-register

  • “Run for Office” Q&A sessions:

    • Tuesday, October 21, 5:00pm – 6:00pm

    • Thursday, November 13, 3:00pm – 4:00pm

READY TO RUN!  (4 Workshops)

“Ready to Run!” is a series of workshops to support those who intend to run for office for the City of Palm Coast, the County Commission, or the County School Board. Your Primary is on August 18, 2026 and the General Election is on November 3, 2026.


Workshop #1  Filing and Getting Started:  What is legally required

Workshop #2 Campaign Managers: No respectable campaign launches without a Campaign Manager. But what does a Campaign Manager do and what are the attributes of a good one? What skills are important to successfully supporting a local candidate?  This workshop is appropriate for potential Candidates and Campaign Managers.

Workshop #3  Fundraising: Whether we like it or not, money plays an important role in securing victory. Learn how to establish your campaign’s fundraising goal and how to achieve it.

Workshop #4  Creating your Campaign Plan: From the role of community events to accessing information about Flagler County voters to navigating the mother lode of online resources, this workshop is intended to provide a basic outline of the components of a Campaign Plan.
